I would like us to remember as Israel’s genocide in Gaza enters its 75th day that the only way out of this mess is equality.

I would like to remind the naysayers that calling for equality is not a call for genocide. I would like to insist that a just future, where all people’s dignity is respected, is possible. I would like to recall that this future will free both Palestinian Muslims and Christians and Jewish Israelis, the former from being oppressed and the latter from being the oppressor.

There is no doubt in my mind that any “solution” offering different rights to the people living on the land between the river to the sea and continuing to deny Palestinians in exile the legal right to return to their homes and land is doomed to fail because injustice must be corrected to build a just future. We are beyond the point where band-aids will offer any respite.
